Sony Takes the Walkman to the Next Level

Since 1979, the Sony Walkman has almost become the byword for portable music players. However, the days of the cassette are long over and Sony’s two new models fully embrace the latest developments in audio and visual technology. The new Walkman NW-A800 Video MP3 Player is the first European device of its type to feature video playback facilities and the NW-E010 series is an ideal pocket MP3 player and radio tuner.

Described by a company spokesman as “...the best visual experience with the ultimate in Sony sound technology,” the Walkman Video MP3 player is small and compact featuring a 2” colour TFT LCD screen with high contrast and clarity. The unit supports the MP4 video format and can download video content with a simple drag and drop mechanism. Sony’s DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) technology restores the audio frequency ranges lost by converting to MP3 format.

The NW-E010 series features a USB connection for instant uploading of your favourite tracks. A 5 band equaliser and Clear Audio technology give excellent audio quality. An FM Tuner allows you to listen to your favourite radio stations.

Both models are available in different memory sizes and colours.
